The aPLI TS 20458 includes drawings of test equipment for bone certification as well as instructions to run these tests for Femur and Tibia bones. The set-up is also used for femur and tibia bone calibration. The ISO Task Group for aPLI Development identified that for this application a correction factor of 2.1% is to be applied to the calibration coefficients obtained from simple moment calculation. Inverse dynamic certification corridors as listed in the TS 20458 are based on the corrected moment calibration factors. See also attached document 'Compensation factor for bone core 3-pt bending sensor calibration 221013' released Oct 2022 by the ISO TC22/SC36/WG5&WG6/aPLI Task Group.
Euro NCAP and other NCAPs have not included the correction factor of 2.1% in their procedures. Inverse dynamic certification corridors listed by Euro NCAP in TB032 and thresholds used by various NCAPs are based on the uncorrected values.
Although it is expected that NCAPs will align with ISO this situation may exists for couple of years. Therefore it might be useful to have ISO-MME coding's for both variants, original and corrected bone moment calibration coefficients for the aPLI.

Re: aPLI Coding for Bending Moment with Factors
Based on the discussion at the AK3 Meeting (2023-10-18, VDA) this topic is postponed.
Currently the differences of the two setups are evaluated regarding the realistic differences
in the sensor calibration/sensitivity.
