Handling of vehicle bus channels

Hello,

in order to get along with vehicle bus channels Peter suggested to use the main location "2BUS" or add "RD" for redundant to the first fine location.
I would like to start a discussion about that as the information "2BUS" is not very helpful and consumes the four letters of main location.
Also there are many signals witch can be measured by vehicle bus or measurement equipment (warning LED or sound, TLCR, STRW,...).
So: Currently some channels have ISO codes to indicate their use and use a "RD" in FL1 to indicate that it is measured by bus. Other channels are "2BUS" in the main location and you can provide good information about what is measured.

I Think it would be helpful if we introduce a new value for fine location 3 like "VB" (vehicle bus). The main location could be used to describe the measured component/function and a new values in FL1 can mange the Information PW "prewarning", MW "main warning", TB "taget/emergency brake".
For example:

Code: Select all

1 0 PEBR PW 00 VB EV 0 P - AEB Prewarning
1 0 PEBR MW 00 VB EV 0 P - AEB Mainwarning
1 0 PEBR TB 00 VB EV 0 P - AEB Emergeny/Target braking
Kind regards,
Martin

Hello,

here is an update for the proposal after our discussion in the TF MME for active Safety:
The FL3 should be "CB" for communication bus or car bus. E.g.:

Code: Select all

1 0 PEBR PW 00 CB EV 0 P - AEB Prewarning
1 0 PEBR MW 00 CB EV 0 P - AEB Mainwarning
1 0 PEBR TB 00 CB EV 0 P - AEB Emergeny/Target braking
"CB" is a better code as "VA" and other codes starting with "V" is used for virtual dummies in FL3.

Kind regards,
Martin
