Re: Proposal for main locations of different targets

Dear colleagues, based on the feedback of Mr Washausen I have corrected the table. Please find here the latest status: 2022-09-13 14_53_08-MME_Database-Active_Safety_ML_codes.png An open point for the future discussion might be the age groups to be used with the proposed: TWCx, TWKx and PDCx codes. ...

Re: Introduction&Discussion

Dear colleagues, we have reviewed the current proposal and found a case that is not covered so far at the neck test for the THOR dummy: In the specification of the NHTSA the head angle will be determined as integrated difference from an AV measurement on the pendulum: Pendulum_AV_NECK_THOR-50M_Quali...

Re: New Physical Dimension for 'Number Channels'

Dear colleages, this topic has got new interest from the Active Safety MME Group. Also in this application there are many channels recorded that contains (whole) numbers from different recordings. The intention is actually to store only whole numbers : ..., -2,-1,0,1,2,3 ... = Integer and no float v...

Re: Introduction&Discussion

Dear colleagues, after a long time, there is now new and intense activity in this topic: A group of experts from the dummy certification testing and processing has prepared a new approach to code especially the test rig specific channels. The base idea is to have a unique coding approach but also av...

Re: Additional codes for WS THSP AVX/AVZ?

Dear coleagues,

I checked ISO 15830 for the intrumentation requirements:
ISO-TC22-SC36-WG5_15830-3_1.png
ISO-TC22-SC36-WG5_15830-3_1.png (22.95 KiB) Viewed 1059 times
ISO-TC22-SC36-WG5_15830-3_2.png
ISO-TC22-SC36-WG5_15830-3_2.png (5.88 KiB) Viewed 1059 times
So it seems there is no longer AA requested but AVX,AVZ (AVY optional).

Kind regards,
Dirk

Re: SPUL channel code (Specific accident power)

Hi Uwe,

I would agree, that an international solution is better.

Also here: We didn't find the time to discuss this on the meeting.
Hopefully we can discuss and decide this next time.

Kind regards,
Dirk

Re: Additional codes for WS THSP AVX/AVZ?

summary from the discussion on 2022-03-10 online meeting: - in current dummies there are no AA sensors to be found; all changed to AV (angular rate) - all three direction (X/Y/Z) are available as instrumentation for AV - THSP12 is suggested as some applications might want to combine THSP12 AC signal...

Re: SPUL channel code (Specific accident power)

Dear Uwe, SPUL or "spezifische Unfall-Leistung" or "specific accident power" is very rarely used. So there exists no official physical dimension for this criterion. If you use "00" as PD the physical unit "W/kg" will not match. We should discuss if we would li...

Re: ILIAC Drop Force

Dear Uwe, would you like to store the Force or the IFD (Force rate)? In your code you have used 00 for the physical dimension. For Force Rate we have no physical dimension defined so far in the ISO MME. The NCAP's typically are using references with N/ms (1000,...). This is difficult to code with th...

Re: Additional codes for WS THSP AVX/AVZ?

Dear all, I have received valuable feedback from Kister on this topic. There are more designs out for the WS Thorax arrangement. So the location of the AA sensors does differ. THSP_AV_WS_Configs.png Only the direction of the sensors in ensured. Moreover the more recent dummies are equipped with AV s...
