Dear Colleagues,
There is a request of channel coding of measurements coming from the X-Sensor device that is currently in use at IIHS:
(Annex A from IIHS Moderate Overlap 2.0 rating protocol)
Naming concept could be like load cell barrier in col x row in FL1+FL2, but without percentage, but simple increased numbering.
Origin and orientation of counting must the be defined.
Current points of investigation:
- which export formats are avaiable
- is the complete measurement for each sensor available over time available for export or only maximum values in a time range
Kind regards,
Dirk

Re: Coding of X-Sensor Jacket pressure measurements
After the ISO MME TF meeting (2024-02-14) I have added to the database 1.6.3p1 the following FL3 coding:

Re: Coding of X-Sensor Jacket pressure measurements
Hi All, I have the following proposals for two metrics from xsensor jacket that are used in IIHS testing. I attempted to align this with the RED‑E document; however, I am not fully familiar with all of the requirements, so I would appreciate any feedback.
Both these metrics are developed and used for HIII 5th dummy only hence I have HF in there instead of ??
Belt position:
This is a distance measurement in Z direction (DCZ). We get this by processing the data from xsensor jacket mounted on dummy's chest. One alternative can be ??CHSTBEPOHFDCZX, but I was not sure if CHST only reserved for sensors inside the dummy? Chest Index:
This is caluclated from belt position and thorax compression channels.

Re: Coding of X-Sensor Jacket pressure measurements
Instead of main location DBPO (Dynamic Belt POsition)
we could use DBPC (Dynamic Belt Position with respect to Chest potentiometer).
In this way it will be easier to extend it to other dynamic belt positions that may arise in future (e.g. with respect to abdomen).
