Hello there,
Continuing with codes dedicated to specific human body parts, I would like to code for the Head:
- External Auditody Meatus (EAM)
- Infra-Orbitale (IO)
The digits into braket are commonly used in the field.
- Infra-Orbitale
IO is not taken in the MME standard (could go after HEAD in fine location 1)
Example: S1HEADIOLECDDSXV
Or we create a new 4-digit for Head External Auditory Meatus : HEAM
Example: S1HEAMLE00CDDSXV
- External Auditody Meatus (EAM)
EAM is 3 digits, and could be converted in AM + OU for outer (External) but we will miss digits to specify the side (LE/RI) as the last fine location slot would be taken to specify the surrogate. We coudl get rid of OU as the most common used landmarks is the EAM not the IAM (internal AM). So AM+LE/RI.
Example: S1HEADAMLECDDSXV
Or we create a new 4-digit for Head External InfraOrbitale : HEIO
Example: S1HEIOLE00CDDSXV
- Also for Post Mortem Human Subject tests (PMHS, or PMTO), the digits CA in fine location 3 were proposed in a draft in 2012. We are currently used "CD" to harmonize with NHTSA.
Do not hesitate to react and share your preference for the each of the 3 items (IO, EAM, CD).
Many thanks in advance,
Kind regards,
M. Lebarbé (ceesar)
